YIN YANG

To those of you who don´t know one of the most popular concepts of the Yin-Yang, allow me to enlighten you... Although there are many definitions such as male and female; war and peace or maybe even day and night. The most popular definition of a yin yang is of good and bad. The White half with the black dot symbolizes purity with the drop of oil... in other words... even people with the purest of hearts are capable of evil thoughts or actions. The opposite goes for the black half with the white dot, even the most evil being is capable of regret or a good action.

Society is what blows the dots out of proportion!

For those of you who try to live life by the rules, the pressure of failing should be no stranger to you. You feel like you walk life on a tightrope. You start off by juggling little balls, suddenly those balls increase in number, life adds a few plates and suddenly one fine day you wake up and realise that you dropped all the balls and plates and fell flat on your face. That feeling of utmost failure comes from the pressure of expecting too much from yourself. You do your utmost best to do everything right like society expects you to that when you do make a mistake, it feels like you´re the cause of all that is out of place in the universe. We feel that way because society keeps its eye on those that do well and like vultures they wait for you to make a a mistake so they can devour your mistake into a scandal that they themselves would never go wrong on...

Sound familiar? Maybe not, maybe you´re part of the other half of the yin-yang... the loser, the outcast! You´re the scum that society throws out because you don´t play by their rules. You´re the kind of person that will never get anywhere in life because you can´t seem to blend in... Everyone knows what to expect of you and none of it is positive so when you once again go wrong in the ways of the world nobody even blinks or sighs surprise. But happens when you do get something right? Society turns you into a martyr and you become the fallen hero... the person that went wrong but is now on the road to recovery. The next Oprah guest waiting to happen, yes because society loves to see scum repent and get shaped back into their world.

Instead of going into detail on the above I´d like to tell a story about a situation I haven´t quite made my mind about. Keeping in mind that the basic right or wrong rules start off with the ten commandments, even though we are in modern days I think anyone will agree that Commandment nº 6 Thou shalt not commit adultery and commandement nº 9 Thou shalt not covet thy neihbours wife still stand strong! (And yes I caught the 69 irony for those who are still giggling!)

Well the story i´m going to tell you is about a modern day player. About a boy (and I call him a boy for if he were a man he wouldn´t be a player) that lived for a track record of how many girls you could lay. Life to this boy was all about getting the prettiest, sexiest girl and how quickly you could MANeuver her into the sack. Not to long ago our player had found a quick fling that flew in from out of town and it was more than just obvious that they helped each other out in relieving some pent up sexual frustration during her stay. Although our player does not fall onto either half of the yin yang you could argue that he fell on the dark side because society certainly didn´t condemn him, in fact, they expected it from someone like him.

However this isn´t how our story ends, as it happens, our player suddenly turned into a prince! Oh yes indeed! Some girl came, and turned his player heart into a heart that every girl wishes her boyfriend to have... the faithfull kind. And he proved this when not too long ago the the bird from out of town flew back into town to once again relieve pent up stress and instead got the cold shoulder. Considering the this bird was more than just your average good looking bird and that the fresh girlfriend wasn´t exactly relieving our hero´s sexual frustration, suddenly society gasped in amazement and our player become the model hero! Oh yes! For surely a player couldn´t behave that way! Turning down the temptation of sexual pleasure is surely nothing short of miraculous for someone like our player! Truly an amazing show of faithfulness and integrity!

Do we forgive this player and suddenly consider him as the model boyfriend? Of course we do! After all, doesn´t any insecure girl wish to know that her boyfriend brushed off a better looking specimen that threw herself at him in the name of a relationship in which he wasn´t being sexually provided for? Why, I guess any girl after that would trust her man enough to allow him to sleep with her. Any girl after knowing that would want to take a step forward... a surely beautiful way to begin a couple´s sexual life...

Honestly folks, I can´t tell if our hero´s girlfriend knows or not about his act of bravery nor can I tell if he´s intentions with her are pure...

What I do know for certain is: should he put a foot wrong again, society will once again not blink... for after all, after someone with a track record as our hero, or after such an amazing deed... how can one expect any less...
